Peace River Minor Hockey Association Legacy Fund Scholarship - Launching 2026

Peace River Minor Hockey Association (PRMHA) is excited to launch the Legacy Fund Scholarship beginning in 2026.

PRMHA is dedicated to supporting our athletes beyond their time in minor hockey. In that spirit, we have established a $1,000 Legacy Scholarship, available to graduating players to support their post-secondary education.

Scholarship Information

• Applications must be submitted by April 15

• A minimum of one (1) scholarship will be awarded annually; additional scholarships may be available depending on the year

• Applications must include:

  • Personal information

  • A summary of your time with PRMHA

  • Your future educational plans

• Applicants must complete one of the following:

  • A 1,000-word essay (APA format), or

  • A 5-minute recorded video

• Both formats must answer the following question:
  “What has your time in youth sports taught you, and how has it—or how will it—help you in the future?”

• Scholarship recipient(s) will be selected and announced by June 15 each year

Eligibility Requirements

• Must be a Grade 12 student

• Must graduate (funds will be held until proof of graduation is received)

• Scholarship funds must be used toward post-secondary education (college, university, trades, etc.)

• Proof of post-secondary registration must be provided

• Scholarship may be held for up to one (1) year

• Applicant must have played for Peace River Minor Hockey Association
